As well as this, it is 40 minutes away from the center of Iceland's whale watching at the town Husavik. 5/5Six of us spent three nights at Hamragil Lodge. We all loved it. Very homely. On Route 1 so very convenient for touring the area. Mountain views from kitchen table were amazing. Hot tub was a lovely treat. Would definitely recommend staying here for touring North Iceland. It was a great experience.

5/5We, a family of five, spent twelve great days in the Hamragil cottage. The cottage is very spacious and suits perfectly for bigger families, or even small groups. With all its appliances and amenities it is very well equipped, incl. internet access! The cottage’s location on the foot of the mountains, between the birch trees and close to the creek is really picturesque, the surrounding mountains are creating beautiful views on each time of the day.

5/5Hamragil is a wonderful lodge in Northern Iceland. It is very spacious with a large open plan dining room/sitting room/kitchen - so lots of rooms for all the family. It has all amenities you need plus a hot tub outside. Hamragil is within easy reach of some great locations such as Myvatn Lake and Dettifoss Waterfall. The house is in a peaceful location with great views up and down the valley. Highly recommended for a stay!
